When I think of Aunty Annette, I think of her smile. Whatever she was going through, you could count on that smile to brighten your day. Although separated by miles, when you spoke her on the phone, you always felt her warmth and kindness. She had a unique ability to make you feel better; to impart wisdom and genuinely take an interest in what you had to say. Her nieces will fondly remember the times with her when she would sit with us, give us advice and share inside jokes. We would be laughing hysterically for hours; sometimes she would even cause us to blush. She was truly one of a kind. She was definitely more than an aunt; she was our confidant, our friend. A true inspiration to anyone that met her - she was the embodiment of eternal optimism, unwavering faith and unconditional love. Darling Aunty Annette, our hearts are broken that you are no longer with us, but we take comfort in the joy filled memories we shared with you. We love you, we miss you and we will never forget you.
